BEAUPRE, Que. - Parti Quebecois Leader Pauline Marois has won her riding near Quebec City.

Marois easily won the newly created riding of Charlevoix-Cote-de-Beaupre on Tuesday night.

The 63-year-old veteran politician romped to victory with about 50 per cent of the popular vote, well ahead of her Liberal counterpart with the Coalition for Quebec's Future candidate running third.

Marois won roughly the same riding, with different boundaries, in 2008 with just over 52 per cent of the vote.
