Quebec solidaire's Amir Khadir keeps seat in Montreal riding

MONTREAL - Quebec solidaire co-leader Amir Khadir was re-elected to the national assembly in Tuesday's provincial election.

Khadir was the sovereigntist party's representative in the national assembly heading into the election.

The party has been a vocal supporter of the student protests against tuition increases.

Khadir will once again represent the riding of Mercier in Montreal's trendy Plateau district.
