ST. STEPHEN, N.B. - RCMP in New Brunswick say an American man has pleaded guilty to one count of possessing child pornography.

Police say 31-year-old Shayne Clark of Philadelphia appeared in court on Monday.

Clark was arrested following a search of his vehicle by the Canada Border Services Agency at the border crossing in St. Stephen, N.B., on Oct. 13.

The Mounties say a laptop was seized containing at least one video depicting child sexual abuse.

Clark has been remanded until his next court appearance on Nov. 27, at which time a pre-sentence report will be presented.
