You should be hiring your neighbours to the south in the United States. They speak the same language and so many tradesman are unemployed now. It would be a win win. They would be glad to go home when the jobs are done. Remember they helped many Canadians with work in the 60's and 70's .

The foriegn workers in fort McMurray are brought over- no skill at all, they charge them out to shell oil as pipefitters. Shell and flint give the workers a 60 hour course and a copy of the test so they could all become journeyman pipefitters. Canadians have to goto school and it takes four years to get a journeyman ticket. They would. It hire anyone from Canada. Every week the orientation rooms were full of foreigners.
