Woman whose husband was badly wounded in Colorado shooting gives birth to first child

DENVER - A woman whose husband was critically wounded in last week's Colorado theatre shooting has given birth to the couple's first child.

Hugo Jackson Medley was born Tuesday morning at the same hospital where his father, 23-year-old Caleb Medley, is in critical condition.

The hospital says both the baby and the mother, 21-year-old Katie Medley, are doing great.

The couple went to the midnight showing of the new Batman movie as a last date before officially becoming parents.
