Woman hospitalized after car crash in Newfoundland and Labrador dies

PORT BLANFORD, N.L. - The driver of a car involved in a two-car crash in Terra Nova National Park in Newfoundland and Labrador has died.

The RCMP in Glovertown say a pickup truck and a car collided around 3 p.m. Friday on the Trans-Canada Highway between Port Blanford and Charlottetown.

Police say the 60-year-old female driver died of her injuries.

There has been no update on the male driver of the pickup truck who was listed as in serious but stable condition on Saturday.

The sole passenger of the car and the three passengers of the pickup truck were treated at the scene for cuts and bruises.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
