HALIFAX - Nova Scotia's Natural Resources Department is warning drivers in the Halifax area to be on the lookout for an errant moose.

The animal had been seen wandering around an area of Highway 102 earlier today.

The department says wildlife officers were hoping to tranquilize the moose which had been contained near Maine Avenue.

Officials are also warning motorists to use caution in the area of Dunbrack Street and have asked that people not approach the moose in order to provide it with an escape route.
