MILAN - They've outfitted A-list singers and soccer stars, but Canadians Dean and Dan Caten have the pint-sized crowd in focus with their new line.

The Toronto-born twins behind the famed Milan-based Dsquared2 label are launching their first-ever junior line.

The new line is set to debut with the spring-summer 2014 collection.

The brand has inked a five-year licensing deal with Brave Kid — part of the OTB Group founded by Diesel's Renzo Rosso — to produce ready-to-wear and accessories for the line.

Shoe manufacturing company Andrea Montelpare will retain the footwear licence.

Dsquared2 said in a release the collection will "remain true to the brand's DNA with a touch of irony and playfulness."

Since heading to Italy in 1991, the Catens have established themselves as menswear designers, showing their first collection in Milan in 1994. They eventually expanded their empire to include women's fashion in 2003.

The duo has never strayed far from their homegrown roots, incorporating Canadian themes and designs into their shows.
