BELLEFONTE, Pa. - A Pennsylvania judge has scheduled Jerry Sandusky's sentencing for convictions of child sexual abuse for Oct. 9.

Sandusky was convicted in June of 45 counts of sexual abuse involving 10 boys. Prosecutors say some of the assaults took place on the Penn State campus.

Judge John Cleland on Monday scheduled Sandusky's sentencing for 9 a.m. at the courthouse in Bellefonte.

Sandusky will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.

The abuse scandal rocked Penn State, bringing down famed coach Joe Paterno and the university's president and leading the NCAA to levy unprecedented sanctions against the football program.
