MONTREAL - Work crews in Quebec continue to restore power to thousands who lost electricity when a winter storm blasted parts of the province on Friday.

Hydro-Quebec says it's hoping to have electricity back at most residences and business today and Monday.

There were about 40,000 without power across the province at noon today.

More than 120,000 clients were put in the dark from heavy snow and high winds. The Laurentians and the Lanaudiere region north of Montreal got the brunt of the storm.

Some residents haven't had electricity since Friday afternoon.

In Ontario, Hydro One says about 3,000 customers remain without power.
