B&E suspect caught at a cabin

On Monday afternoon, Placentia/Whitbourne RCMP apprehended a break and enter suspect at a cabin that had just been broken into on Fitzgerald Pond.

The owners of another cabin in the Fitzgerald Pond area reported a break and enter to Mounties Monday morning. They had caught the suspect on video over the weekend and handed over the tape to police.

Police responded to the area and found the suspect's car.

Using of ATVs, boats, the help of local cabin owners and the Avalon East police dog service, the suspect was apprehended on a wharf to a cabin that had just been broken into.

The investigation is continuing.
