The search for a missing Kilbride woman has moved to the Cochrane Pond Road area of the Goulds.

Crews have stopped searching for 32-year-old Ann Marie Shirran around Brennan Field near her home in Kilbride after covering about three square kilometres.

Since Shirran’s disappearance  on July 18, search and rescue crews have also combed through all of Bowring Park plus other trails and Petty Harbour-Long Pond via boat.

Crime unit investigating

The matter  is also being investigated by the RNC’s major crime unit.

Harry Blackmore, Rovers Search and Rescue team co-ordinator, couldn’t say why the Cochrane Pond Road area is of interest.

“We just go where the investigators tell us,” he explained.

Calls to the RNC were not returned by The Telegram’s deadline.

Shirran is about six feet tall and 170 lbs with shoulder length brown/auburn hair and blue

eyes.

She was last seen wearing black pants, a white sleeveless top and flip-flops.

The RNC says about six years ago Shirran was also known as Ann Marie Baggs.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000.
