The games will be held August 24-26.

“The Regional Games Program is designed to promote physical activity and grassroots sport development throughout Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Recreation Minister Terry French in a news release.

The $100,000 provincial Regional Games Program — administered by Recreation Newfoundland and Labrador — provides 10 communities with up to $10,000 each to host the regional, multi-sports games for youth aged 11-18.

The games are said to be non-competitive.
