A Triton company is receiving $25,000 from the government to create better packaging for its Badger Bay Mussel Farms products.
The company operates more than 700 hectares of mussel growing waters and produces more than three million pounds of mussels each year.
“Assistance from the Provincial Government will help Badger Bay Mussel Farms with developing new packaging for its new products and further our position in the North American marketplace,” said Juan Roberts, President, Badger Bay Mussel Farms. “Having accessible programming in place to support local companies target new opportunities is extremely important in helping local industries experience success.”
The company plans to market a line of Iceberg Select mussels prepared in garlic, marinara and wine sauces.
