Police in Labrador are still investigating, but they have arrested a 35-year-old man on sex charges.
Police say a woman contacted the RCMP on Friday saying she was sexually assaulted after being driven to a remote location in or near Sheshatshiu.
Officers say the woman knew her attacker and identified him.
A 35-year-old North West River man has since been arrested. He hasn’t appeared in court yet and therefore can’t be identified.
But police say when he does appear in provincial court he will face charges of sexual assault with a weapon and unlawful confinement.
More will be posted at www.thetelegram.com as it becomes available.
