The provincial government will be sending a helicopter to Random Island tomorrow to assess damages from hurricane Igor.

Tony Rose of emergency services said that personnel onboard would be surveying each community to determine what work needs to be done.

Currently there are still hundreds of homes on Random Island that have no power. There is some travel between communities, but the roads are treacherous. People cannot get off the island.

Some supplies were brought in today by boat, a donation from the Clarenville Co-op.
