Concord Paving Ltd. has been charged with violations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations in relation to a fatal accident that occurred in May 2009, the provincial government announced Thursday.
The charges are the result of an investigation by the Occupational Health and Safety Branch of the Department of Government Services.
According to a news release, the incident occurred on Holyrood Access Road, and involved a flagperson who was struck by an excavator that was cleaning out the ditch beside the roadway.
