Premier Kathy Dunderdale says she’s not concerned about news that a loan guarantee for the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric project won’t be in Monday’s federal budget.

Dunderdale says the federal support for the $6.2-billion project doesn’t need budget approval.

She says the federal finance minister can approve the loan with cabinet support, and that she expects a deal by the fall.

Liberal MP Gerry Byrne has asked the parliamentary budget officer for an opinion on whether the loan must be part of a budget vote.

Byrne says it should raise alarms that what amounts to a simple line item will not be included in the budget.

Where's loud-mouth Gerry Byrne now that the Muskrat Falls loan guarantee received a prominent mention in the Throne Speech? Is he going to retract and apologize for his baseless fear-mongering comments? Of course not - he's too small for that.

A bit off topic but there's one thing that just doesn't add up. If there's a rift between Williams and Dunderdale, why is her government backing HIS legacy DEAL of Muskrat Falls? If it flops, her name is tagged to it like Smallwood, if it's a massive success, it's Danny's baby.

During the election campaign, Loyola Sullivan warned voters that a minority Conservative government would mean that the loan guarantee would be defeated by the Bloc Quebecois when it came to a vote in the House of Commons. He said that this a budget item. NOW we learn, that a Cabinet decision was all it takes for the Guarantee to go through. Did Mr. Sullivan know this during the campaign. Is it any wonder that Canadians are cynical about politicians.

Poor Graham. Your fingers must be tired after all the hockey posts. Why is it you can run your mouth but Gerry Byrne can't?

Gerry Byrne obviously has no idea what he's talking about, which is appalling considering how long he has been in parliament. The loan guarantee is a Cabinet decision - it does not need a vote of parliament. And why on earth would Byrne ask an accountant (the Parliamentary Budget Officer) for his opinion on a legal issue (whether or not the loan guarantee has to be part of the budget)? Byrne is just playing stupid politics with an issue he knows nothing about - as usual.

Stunderdale doesn't care because she is prepared to run this province into the ground no matter what. Graham Jerry didn't lose and he is a politician that proves that he is "reliable" and capable of spelling.

Be afraid; be very afraid. If it isn't in the budget, Harper has duped you yet again Ms. Stunderdale. Didn't King Dan teach you bobbleheads anything?

If B S from Gerry could be used on a farm they would grow the biggest crops in history. You think you have all the answers Gerry? Run for the Ledaership of the THIRD PARTY aka LIBERALS. Im sick of hearing your mindless rants with information you claim comes from an inside relighable source. Well Gerry my inside relighable source says the Liberals are all washed up and yes that includes you motor mouth Gerry.
