How can any self respecting Newfoundlander give any credit to Air Canada. Every time another airline tries there hand for the filght to and from the Uk, Air canada comes in with outrages fares to the point the other company can't compete. Once the competting airline is forced out, Air Canada's fares increase, and shortly there after, There flights disappear, due to lack of buisness. We all soon forget, and history soon repeats itself.

We are flying from London to St. John's in July and it makes the journey so much better knowing that when you get on the plane at Heathrow you'll be home in under six hours. My sister and her husband are coming to visit in August for the first time this year and they wouldn't have come if there wasn't a direct flight. Long may it continue! I also think that a lot more people would travel if they knew it was a permanent fixture. At the moment people are hesitant to make plans as they're not sure if there is a direct flight or not and when it starts/stops in the year. I was looking earlier on in the year and the direct flight didn't come up on Air Canada's website.
