Firearms recovered

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says it has recovered the last of the fire arms stolen during a break and entry in Conception Bay South last Thursday.

On July 21, 2011, RNC Patrol Services responded to a report of break-in in Seal Cove.

Six registered firearms and a quantity of ammunition were stolen.

The RNC issued a public safety advisory the next day and, several hours later, RNC officers recovered three of the six stolen firearms, as well as ammunition.

on Thursday, investigators recovered the remaining three stolen firearms in C.B.S., and the public safety advisory is being rescinded.

The force is continuing to investigate this break, enter and theft and is still seeking the public’s assistance.
