Kevin Aylward thinks the Tories have lost their leader.
That's what the Liberal leader told supporters in Baie Verte Friday night.
Without actually naming the former premier, Aylward said Danny Williams "did a decent job" and then implied the PCs had lost their leader with Williams' departure.
It was the largest Liberal rally so far, in this 2011 campaign.
The party's bus was greeted by a motorcade featuring a few dozen cars, and there was a packed house at candidate Neil Ward's headquarters.
Ward, in a fiery speech, told the crowd it's time someone fought for rural Newfoundland and Labrador, that the Liberals would.
Aylward told them a red wave is coming.
The Liberal campaign is stopping in Grand Falls-Windsor, Botwood, Lewisporte and Gander today.
Newfoundland and Labrador goes to the polls Oct.11.

I will never accept that Dunderdale is competent enough to run this province. I cannot get all of her gaffes as Minister of Natural Resources. She suspended two wildlife officers because she could read legislation and the infamous Abitibi expropriation that got Abitibi off the hook and the tax payer paying for the clean-up. She cannot read legislation...why should she be the lead law maker for the province?
