The Progressive Conservatives announced a four-year, $100 million strategy for long-term care and community support services this morning.

The plan, called Closer to Home, includes developing a home-care model that doesn't restrict family members from being paid for care provided.

It also features enhanced supports for informal caregivers and a pilot project that enables qualified personal-care homes to accept patients requiring a higher level of care.

Leader Kathy Dunderdale made the announcement at the new long-term care facility in Corner Brook.

Four years ago, Gerry Reid promised to spend $100-million on Labrador. Danny Williams ridiculed it, saying he'd "bankrupt the province". Does this mean that the Dunderdale2011s now want to bankrupt the province?

This government and that person that calls herself the PREMIER make me sick. The only REASON this money is given today is because they are concerned with getting votes in certain areaS. With this being the case maybe we should have an election every single day so the PEOPLE GET WHAT THEY WANT !!!! This government is a made up of a pile of YOU KNOW WHAT !!!!
