Liberal Leader Kevin Aylward was outside a Nalcor substation in Wabush today to talk about his party's ongoing opposition to the Muskrat Falls hydro development.
In the closing days of the provincial election campaign, Aylward is positioning Muskrat as a pocketbook issue for voters.
Aylward has said the power from Muskrat will send electricity bills "through the roof."
He also questioned whether there were any plans to use Muskrat power to support industrial development in western Labrador.
Following several campaign stops in Labrador West, Aylward will end the day in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, before heading back to St. John's Wednesday.

I think your efforts may be in vain and the more you beat this horse the less impact it has. It's getting to the point where it's sounding like a propaganda machine. You may be right but your excessive pounding on this subject is making people desensitized to it. Aylward has jumped on this issue but he's sinking in the polls while the NDP are talking about health matters and they're rising in the polls. It kind of says where people's priorities are.
