The Newfoundland Labrador Liquor Corp. (NLC) today recalled four products from the Woody’s line of alcoholic vodka beverages and suspended sales of these products.
According to a news release, this recall is in response to the notification that there may be glass particles in some bottles.
The four products being recalled are: Orangetini (sku 10416); Pomtini (sku 5951); Woody’s Sasparilla (sku 11178); and Woody’s Refresher (sku 11179).
The problem appears to be related to the bottling process.
“NLC has received confirmation that glass particles have been identified in bottles of some Woody’s products in Manitoba,” said Peter Murphy, Director of Merchandising, NLC.
“In the interest of customer safety, we have instructed all Liquor Store and Liquor Express locations in Newfoundland and Labrador to immediately remove these products from the shelves.”
Customers are encouraged to return bottles of the products to a local NLC location to receive a full refund.
