a few years ago they moved the cyfs out of their separate offices into the community health uildings this of course did not work so they are going to put them all back under one roof again what a waste of money & time & of course they will be in accessable as usual more abuse of the system i can see it now

A consistent policy, eh? As long as it's not so consistent that it doesn't have flexibility. For instance, in the case of the single mom last week who had an injured leg and didn't qualify for home care so her 9 year old daughter had to go in foster care. An ideal situation, and one with common sense, would have permitted the foster care to transfer to the mom's home. Sure, it would take a little jostling of which column it comes under but it would stopped the trauma of a 9 year old child being removed unnecessarily from her home. Oh, that's right, the mandate of that department is the best interest of the child, isn't it? Yep, as long as we are only presented with round pegs because there are only round holes.
