Much of Green’s Harbour in Trinity Bay lost power and home phone services today after a vehicle struck a pole, cracking the pole off about half way up.

Newfoundland Power and Bell Aliant employees are on the scene repairing damages.

The RCMP says the accident occurred about 11 a.m. today. The single vehicle had left the roadway slamming into the pole.

No injuries were reported.

Traffic has been reduced to a single lane in the area while repairs continue.
