The BC Teachers are asking for the following: 22% wage increase, 10 days bereavement (friends included), 8 days of paid discretionary (any reason at all)leave, increased prep time for classes, 6 months of full pay compassion care for anybody ( not just a family member). It is no wonder she is throwing in her support. When are they supposed to teach? " understand their plight".Give it a rest .These are the most outrageous demands I have ever heard of.Only in the public sector could this be asked for.

Here's to hoping that "all kinds of individuals" might actually include the hiring of appropriate substitutes based on Training Method, Subject Specialty, experience and grade level. Kind of tired of hearing from NLTA that they "should" or they are "supposed" to be hiring based on qualifications. I suggest you send that memo to ESDNL or add a clause similiar to this: please stop the nepotism and initiate fair hiring practises.

Is it only me or does anyone else out there think she looks like Sarah Ferguson? Actually she looks better than the duchess, she's (Lily Cole) beautiful.

...and she'll end up in politics. Spending other peoples money on useless trivia is the first step. I wonder was this trip taken on a collection of those infamous "PD"days?
