A 20-year-old man from Hopedale rammed his snowmobile into the side of the local Moravian church Sunday morning.

RCMP from the community got a complaint of an allegedly drunk man trying to get his snowmobile unstuck. When they arrived at the scene they found the man's vehicle stuck in the church.

The driver is now facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in court at a later date.

The man was not injured in the crash.
