It has been one year since closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras first began recording the minute-by-minute actions on George Street. May 1 officially marks the one-year anniversary and, to celebrate, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary chief of police Robert Johnston spoke with reporters about the impact of the cameras.

    privacy is a thing of the past people. like it or not. there are more cameras out there besides this one. keep your window blinds closed day and night.

    how many arrests becuase of CCTV? how many times was it used in court as evidence?
