Paint recycling program plugged for convenience, benefits

Just a minute Please!!!!!!! I looked at the site and saw this!!!!!Newfoundland and Labrador Paint Fees The program is funded entirely by the fees remitted by Product Care's industry members to the program. The fees will apply to paint products as of May 1, 2012. The fees are based on the number of units sold in the province during the reporting period. The fee is subject to sales tax (federal and provincial), as it is considered to be a part of the price of the regulated products. The NL paint program is required to begin operations on April 18, 2012, but the effective date for fee is May 1, 2012. Please note visible fees are not permitted by the NL regulation. NL Paint Fees 100 ml to 250 ml 30¢ 251 ml to 1 litre 50¢ 1.01 litres to 5 litres $1.10 5.01 litres to 23 litres $2.50 Aerosol paint (any size) 30¢ These fees are the highest in Canada by far and who pays them in the long run?????We,the taxpayers again???????Please check!!!!!

Wher can we buy recycled paint? I assume it works just as well and is alot cheaper.

Why throw away good paint when others can sometimes use it?

There is no problem getting rid of paint if you have even enough to finish even one room. We painted our house last year and I had just about 2 gallons of coloured paint remaining after the job was finished. I could not return it because it was coloured to our preference. I asked my friends at a card party one evening, shortly after the job was finished, if they needed it to do a room somewhere in their house, immediately one of them claimed it for a room in their daughter's apartment and there were others interested in that party of six people, as well. By giving it away you are not only saving our environment, but helping some one from spending money unnecessary, which they can spend on something else. Why throw away good paint when others can utilize it and be helped out in the process?

  You know, as I read this i was thinking ...what a great idea for raising funds ..... Right now I need some red paint to touch up a lawn chair.... well i have to buy a quart to maybe use 1/2 a cup..... Imagine if i could go somewhere and get this paint for a couple $$ and that money go to a charitable organization..... Come on guys what are you going to do with the unused paint....only put it in a landfill somewhere...right?? The possibilities are numerous.... Anyone????
