Carbonear man dies in car crash

A man from Carbonear died early Saturday morning in a single vehicle crash on the highway between Bay Roberts and the North River exit.

The Trinity Conception RCMP is reporting the man was 47-years-old and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are still being notified.

A 31-year-old man who was also in the vehicle was taken to hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

According to the RCMP report road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
