Woman stabbed in Cabot Street home

A woman was stabbed in a home on Cabot Street in St. John's, Sunday morning.

The RNC has arrested a 22-year-old man in relation to the incident. He's been charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, two counts of assaulting a police officer and multiple breaches of court orders.

The two people knew each other.

The victim, also 22, is being treated in hospital and is expected to be released later today.

Police were called to the home at 11:45 a.m.

The accused will appear in court Monday morning.
