Man arrested last week for January armed robbery

A 32-year-old man has been arrested for a January armed robbery in Botwood.

The man was taken into custody Friday following a RCMP investigation.

On Jan. 28, the man, who had his face covered, entered the Landing Pub in Botwood armed with a large knife.

He demanded cash from an employee then fled the scene on foot.

The man, a former Botwood resident, has been charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of disguise with intent.

The man appeared in court Saturday and was kept in custody for a bail hearing today in Grand Falls-Windsor.
