Irish band Clannad will be returning to Newfoundland, with a tour stop in St. John’s planned to support the band’s latest album.

The group will play the Arts and Culture Centre on Sept. 18 with tickets going on sale June 22.

The group combines a love of traditional music with folk, rock, ambient jazz and world music in a recording career that spans four decades with over 10 million albums sold worldwide.

The group is currently working on a new album with a release date planned for September.

The last studio album was 1998’s Landmarks.

This latest release will be the first to feature all five original members since 1989’s Sirius.

Tickets for the St. John’s show are $64.50 and are available at the Arts and Culture Centre box office or online at www.sonicconcerts.com.
