War of 1812 re-enacted

The declaration of the War of 1812 was commemorated on Signal Hill June 18. This video looks at the different stages of the reenactment. It starts with a mock declaration of war from a site in Ohio, via Skype, and moves to the recruiting party on Signal Hill. There, people are told the perks of joining the Royal Newfoundland Regiment to help the British cause. Towards the end of the montage those who accepted the offer take the oath.
