Three charged with impaired in separate incidents

The RNC charged three people in the St. John’s area Thursday and overnight with impaired driving in three separate incidents.

At 4:30 p.m. Thursday, police officers responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the area of Park Avenue, Mount Pearl, and charged a 51-year-old man with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle over the legal limit.

He was released and given a court date.

At 1:54 a.m. today, a traffic stop in the area of Higgins Line resulted in a 23-year-old man being charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle over the legal limit.

He was released an given a court date.

At 2:40 a.m. a traffic stop in the Frontenac Avenue area resulted in a 52-year-old man being charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle over the legal limit.

He was released and given a court date.

    Forget reporting drunk drivers...please just report on any sober ones pulled over on the road. THAT would be news.

    Come on Justice Department! It is way past time to get serious with those jokers. Start playing tough with them and have some real consequences to this crime!!!
