RCMP investigating vehicle fires

The RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay is investigating a suspected arson that destroyed two vehicles.

On June 21, officers responded to the fire behind a business at 7 Burnwood Dr. in the Labrador community.

Officers arrived at 11:55 p.m. to find two vehicles engulfed in flames.

The vehicles were within 10 feet of each other and approximately 30 feet from the building.

Fire department crews brought the fire under control, but both vehicles were destroyed.

The building sustained some heat damage.

No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
