ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — A yacht that was diverted to Newfoundland after a crew member was injured is expected to continue its race around the world this morning.

A release says 60-year-old Lynn Harmer is fit to continue after falling and hitting her head on board last week.

The Quingdao is one of 10 yachts competing in the Clipper Round the World 11-12.

It was expected to withdraw from the competition following the incident, but a release says the crew plans to continue the race.
