A collision with a moose on Friday sent two men to hospital with serious injuries.

The men were traveling in a car on Route 430, Flower's Cove, on the north coast of the island when they struck the animal. The crash sent the car into the ditch.

The men were taken to the Flower's Cove Medical Centre before being transferred to the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony. They remain in stable condition.
