A 21-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle around 10:25 p.m. Saturday on Thorburn Road in St. John’s, in front of the North Atlantic gas station.

The RNC is seeking information as the investigation into the incident continues.

In particular, officers are looking for two males who were standing on the west side of Thorburn Road at the time of the collision.

Police also want to speak to the driver of a vehicle which was in the left turn lane from Thorburn Road into the North Atlantic station at the time of the collision.

Officers are attempting to identify contributing factors in the collision.

if it turns out to be the drivers fault he'll get time served and probation. Maybe if the judge feels like laying down the law he'll get a week or two's house arrest. I had this girl in a couple of my classes at MUN. There's no need of anyone keeping their mouths shut about this. I only wish I could help.

A young vibrant woman has lost her life, time for the witnesses to step up. Taking a bit of your time to help is the LEAST you can do to honor her life.
