The RCMP is currently investigating five break, enter and thefts at cabins in the Terrington Basin and Groves Point area just outside Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

About 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police officers were called to a break, enter and theft at a cabin in the Groves Point area. It was soon discovered that two other cabins in the area had also been targetted.

That same night, another report of break and enter was received from a cabin owner in the Terrington Basin area. At that time, a second break and enter to a cabin was also discovered.

Stolen from the cabins were three generators, a chainsaw, a chopsaw, a .22-calibre rifle and a stuffed bear cub. The stuffed bear cub is very distinct and easily recognizable.

If you, or anyone you know, has any information on this or any other crime, you are asked to contact the nearest office of the RCMP, or call Crime Stoppers anytime at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or visit www.rocktips.ca.
