A 39-year-old man and 36-year-old woman have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking following the seizure of what RNC officers are calling a large quantity of prescription pills and $5,000 cash on July 18 at about 5 p.m.

While searching a residence on Brigade Street in St. John’s, RNC seized Oxycontin, Morphine, Ritalin, and Percocet.

Police also seized “what appears to be stolen clothing,” according to an RNC news release that estimates the clothing value at $4,000.

The man and woman have been held for a court appearance, and police say additional charges may be laid in relation to the allegedly stolen clothing.

The investigation is ongoing.

The TV News tonite said there were something like 18,000 pills. Anybody know how these hoods get 'em? Story is becoming so common they just have to play back the same recording. There's a free running dispenser somewhere.
