Man, woman with drug-related offences

A 27-year-old Mount Pearl woman and a 33-year-old St. John’s man have been charged with drug-related offences following a traffic stop at 9 p.m. Thursday in the downtown St. John’s area.

The stop led to the seizure of prescription drugs Ritalin, Atasol and Percocet by RNC officers.

The woman was charged with possession of Percocet, a controlled substance.

She was released and given a court date.

The man was charged with possessing Ritalin, Atasol and Percocet for the purpose of trafficking, as well as breaches of court orders.

The man was held for a court appearance today.

The RNC are continuing its investigation.
