Drug arrests made near Corner Brook

Corner Brook RCMP arrested a man and a youth Friday night on a beach in Meadows after drugs were found in a vehicle.

Upon approaching the vehicle on a beach near Marine Drive, officers noticed the smell of marijuana coming from it, according to a news release issued over the weekend.

A small quanity of marijuana and cocaine was found along with beer and liquor.

Police said charges were pending against the two individuals under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Liquor Control Act.
