A 24-year-old man was arrested Friday night for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon into a St. John's bar.

Casey Wilson Stevens made a brief appearance in St. John's provincial court this morning. He has been charged with unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest. Stevens also faces two probation breach charges.

According to the Saturday overnight report, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers were called to Dooley's Bar on Topsail Road. The weapon Stevens allegedly concealed was a knife, according to court documents.

Stevens will remain in police custody until at least Monday, when he is due to return to court for a bail hearing.
