Man allegedly assaults woman with beer bottle

A St. John's man was arrested Friday for allegedly assaulting a woman with a beer bottle.

Gerald Joseph Reddy, 60, faces charges for assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

Reddy appeared in St. John's provincial court Saturday morning. The crown opposed his release. Reddy will return to court on Monday for a bail hearing.
