UPDATE: RNC seek public assistance in armed robbery investigation involving bear spray

The RNC is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying those responsible for an armed robbery at Maries Mini Mart on Topsail Road in Conception Bay South about 10:20 p.m. Saturday.

During the armed robbery, a female clerk at the store received injuries from a substance believed to be bear spray. She was treated at the scene and released.

The RNC says the suspects entered the store and demanded cash before fleeing the scene. It is believed a black car may have been used to flee the area.

One male suspect is described as approximately 6’ 0”, with a blocky build and was wearing a black jacket, white shirt and jeans. He had on sunglasses, a winter hat and a bandana covering his face.

The second suspect is described as 5’7” and at the time of the incident was wearing a striped long sleeve shirt, jeans, black sneakers and a red camping-style hat. He had his face concealed by a mask.

The RNC believes there was a third and fourth male who were assisting in the crime.

The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this armed robbery and is seeking the assistance of the general public.

A store clerk was assaulted with bear spray during an armed robbery at Marie’s Mini Mart in Topsail, shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday.

Two men stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the store during the robbery, report RNC.

A description of the suspects is expected later today.

The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene.
