Woman wakes to find stranger asleep on her couch

A 27-year-old man has been charged with being unlawfully in a Corner Brook residence after a woman called the RNC at 4:20 a.m. to say an unknown and allegedly intoxicated man was asleep on her living room couch at her Valley Road home.

The man refused to leave the residence, states a RNC news release.

Police took the man to the city lock-up, where he was held until sober.

He was then released and given a court date.
