A 36-year-old Stephenville man is facing numerous assault, firearm, and theft-related charges following several investigations by the Bay St. George RCMP.
A domestic violence investigation led to charges for three counts of assault, five counts of uttering threats, one count of forcible confinement, two counts of pointing a firearm, one count of using a firearm in the commission of an offence, and two counts of possessing a weapon contrary to an order, after the man was arrested July 15 for failing to comply with a probation order.
He was also charged with two counts of break and enter, four counts of failure to comply with conditions of his probation order, and one count of uttering threats in relation to several break-ins to cabins on Flat Bay Brook Road over the past two months.
The man is also facing charges of theft and failure to comply with conditions for allegedly stealing money from a float plane on Alexander Pond sometime between July 10 and 13.
The man was held in custody for a bail hearing on Friday.
