A 37-year-old Seal Cove, Baie Verte Peninsula, man has been charged with assault after allegedly hitting a 23-year-old man with a car Monday following a verbal argument.

Baie Verte RCMP report the two men had a verbal argument the previous night that continued Monday, ending with one man allegedly hitting the other with the front of his car.

The victim fell onto the front of the car and received minor injuries for which he received medical attention.

The accused was released from custody with conditions and given a September court date.
